Thankful Thursday

Its Thankful Thursday, hosted by Lynn@
http://unequalmarriage.typepad.com/my_weblog/

Today I'd like to share with you my family.
Me and Mr.B. After 10 years of raising my children alone, I met and married Mr.B. in 2005

Many of those ten years were really difficult for my self and the children.
Without extended family to help, nor husband to lean on, the loss of many friends, the lack of funds...
Those days were hard indeed, but thanks be to God!
My rescuer...for it was the Lord who saw me through
all those years and lifted me...gave me strength....
pulled me up when so often when I was down...
He moved me forward so I could raise my children to the best of my ability.

Mr. and Mrs.K. They were the wind under my wings in those days.
I and the children would not have "made it" so successfully with out them.
They still pray for us every night.

My God provided me with schooling opportunities, and then a good stable job, later the courage to buy my first and then second home on my own. We never went hungry nor lacked for anything.
Oh, I am so very very thankful!
I am thankful for a strong, fun, loving Christian husband.
I am thankful to the Lord that He has provided me a second chance at love, with someone who really loves me... as the Lord loved the church, this is some one who is committed to marriage.
Oh, I am thankful!
I am thankful that I have a Grace (filled) family :)
I am thankful for my sister, for loving me, and standing by me.
She is someone I can be my self with and have a great time with!I am thankful that she and her hubby took me to Wales with them.
I am thankful for my beautiful children...
I have two sons....
"M". My first born. Such a good hearted guy.
 Strong and handsome too.
"J". my second son happy go lucky kind of guy..
.always puts a smile on every ones face.

I have a beautiful daughter too, "H".
I gave her a nick name..."Shmooy girl" when she was only a baby and it has stuck...
Even her blog bears her nick name...
Shmooy with her 3rd child, Eli.
 (below)
Eli. is so alert and focuses in on people more than any baby I've ever seen.
Bylla. my 2ND grandchild...a sweet curly haired girl.
When I walk in the door she will be the first to run to me with a huge smile.Just a little shy, to have her picture taken in her new "french" T-shirt..
Thanx Jamie for sending it. Lu. (below)is so active and so alive with a joy that is deep within his heart.
This little guy loves the Lord so very much.
Prayer and talking about Jesus is part of this 4 year old, every day life.
Oh yes... I am thankful!
I am thankful that my daughter has married a man of God who loves his wife and family.

Yes indeed I am one thankful woman

  3. Oh Gracie,
Sweetie you are truly blessed. Yes God is so wonderful. He has helped me through these last few months, when I found myself asking, "Why?" Why did Amy have to suffer for such a long time? What was he waiting on? Why? I am slowly finding my answers, and no he has not forsaken me. Thank you my friend for your kind words and your prayers. Thank you so much. God Bless Your beautiful family Gracie. Country hugs honey, Sherry

  15. HI Gracie, what a lovely family you have. Thanks for stopping over to my TTS. I too have Fibromyalgia! it's awful isn't it? you poor baby girl. I liked reading your thankful page, it's very nice. I too met and married my second husband 21 years ago and it was the Lord that got me through the times after the ending of my first marriage. My husband now raised my kids halfway. He has been a wonderful gift from God. Looks like God has blessed you a big lovely family. Take care! Big hugs
