 More than I need!
 Rustic Apple Pie

Make crust according to package; I like Tender flake lard. There are other brands one could use.
Place in a prepared pie dish...
set aside....
Prepare apples
15-20 small apples pealed and sliced...
Put sliced apples in a large bowl, with 3/4 c white sugar, 1/4 cup flour, salt, 2 tablespoons
cinnamon, a dash of cloves.
After combining apples and sugar mixture, place in unbaked pie shell.
Place another rolled out dough atop of prepared apples.
Brush the dough with milk and a beaten egg.
Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes, turn heat down to 350 for another 40 to 50 minutes.

  2. Thank you for visiting my little corner of BlogLand and your sweet comment. We too live in Canada (Southwestern Ontario) and can't get over the extreme heat this summer. Thankfully we are able to water our gardens from the stream ... but it's a long and slow chore.
