Hello My name is Grace, and this is my first "tea party".
I decided to post my most precious tea cup from my china cabinet.
This pretty china tea cup and saucer are the only things I have from
my grandmother. My fathers mom...
Delicate bone china with gold edging pale yellow in colour
with purple and yellow pansies.

The last memory I have of her,
was when I was about 12 years old...
Sadly I have no picture of grandma R.
Only the pictures in my memory...

In a small down town apartment, I and my family
visited this quite
loving lady...
Her small gentle hands and head were shaking.
I later learned she had Parkinson's Disease...
She softly kissed me...
She handed me a cookie with cream in it...
Something my parents never had in our house....
             What a treat!!!
Grandma passed away soon after that visit. That was many years ago...
.
I remember my grandmother R. with love...
and this was her china tea cup...

Revelations 21:4
"He (the Lord) will wipe all tears from their eyes. There will be no more death, no more grief or crying or pain. The old things have disappeared"

Thank you to Wanda Lee   Pam and Sandi
Teri  and  Ruth and Martha for this lovely spot of tea...
Grace

  13. Dear Grace - Welcome to teatime! And, I am so thrilled to see the teacup you have shared - I have one just like it that belonged to my mom - gone these 7 years now. Only problem - no saucer. But, it is such a pretty cup, I hold onto it hoping I shall come across a single saucer one of these days. Thanks so much for sharing your cup and sweet grandma memories.
    Joy!

  15. Hello~ Sweet post, touching memory of your grandmother...sharing some pansy info with you!
The flower symbolism associated with the pansy is merriment and you occupy my thoughts. The pansy is also called the heartsease or Johnny Jump Up. The name pansy is derived from the French word pensée meaning "thought", and was so named because the flower resembles a human face. In August the pansy is thought to nod forward as if deep in thought
