My Name "A Touch of Grace"

This lovely party "A Rose By Another Name" is hosted today by Sares, at Loveliegh Treasure.

Sares is a very talented and sweet lady, she has come up with this unique way for us to tell: How and why we came up with our blogger names.

You can find Sares and her party participants here...

My dear readers, and friends of blogland....
Please know, the last thing I want you to think is that I am relaying something sad...This story is not a sad one... but a joyful one indeed, its a time for me to shout with joy and to party!

A time to explain why the name I have on my header is so important, to me....
"A Touch of Grace"
Grace! A word I never really had a complete understanding of, until I became a Christian back in 1994. I was a young mother of three small children at the time.
After much intense studyI finally knew what this special word meant... Grace, soon became my favorite word.
The song: Amazing Grace became my favorite song as well, and still is! For awhile it was the only Christian song I new, and only in part at that! I would sing it every day while cooking, while feeding the chickens, walking with my kids.
" I Once was blind, but now I see " Oh...that resonates with me!

I leaped for joy over this biblical revelation! I was so happy to receive the Lord into my came with a cost though, many members of my family pulled away from me...Oh, I needed the Grace of God to get me through the loss of my family.
Shortly after I went through a devastating divorce. With raising the children alone for 10 years, and nearly no family to lean upon, it was again Gods Grace that seen us through.
The children grew up well, with much help from our Lord and friends, then the Lord brought this amazing word strongly back into my life, in a way I never saw coming! A good Christian man came into my life with the last name guessed it

Thus....there has really been the Grace of God through out my life, and this is the answer to why I chose to name my blog...
A Touch of Grace
Blessings to all, and have fun at the party...

Love Mrs. Grace

  3. Hi Gracie! I have always loved the word Grace too and always thought I'd add it to a little girl's name if I ever had one, so far not happening, lol! I did help my Mom chose the name of her blog called A Cowgirl's Grace. I don't know many religious hymns either but Amazing Grace is one I DO know and love to sing. Thank you for joining the party and sharing your sweet story of GRACE and I hope you have a beautiful day!

  4. HI!!!!
Oh it is so wonderful to be touched by Grace and the Grace of God is the best!!!! What a wonderful testimony of your faith, yes, sometimes people pull away when your walk with God is so important, we are going through that right now, we have always been Christians but sometimes are walk was more of a quiet stroll and sometimes it is a jog and that is now --I think we need God in our lives so much right now and some people even family cannot handle this new walk or run!!!!
But I intend to run the marathon!!!!
