Although I made this awhile back...this is my "pink" sewing attempt.
It is for my sweet grand daughter...Bylla.
Sew on a little lace and a silky pink ribbon...
Here a sew, there a sew, and its done!...
Bylla is too shy to show it off...
It looks similar to a dress I had when I was 22 years old.
That's me with my oldest son (now 27) and the dress...
this is me Gamma (older) at work on the dress....

What a sweet post! Your memory of your grandma is beautiful!..Christine
ReplyDeleteAww, how blessed you are to be able to sew for your grandbaby! Sweet memory~
ReplyDeleteShe is a doll :)
What a beautiful post! My grandmother loved pansies, and in case you don't know it, pansies in Spanish are called "pensamientos" (thoughts) and are given to let the recipient know they are thought of. Isn't that lovely? And isn't it lovely that the tea cup you have of your grandmother's has pansies or Johnny Jump-ups (miniature pansies)? And now you're making memories for your own grandbaby. Lovely. I'm so glad you visited me, so I could come back to you. (Yes, Depression glass, made during the Great Depression. Highly collectible, though can still be found pretty inexpensively.) Thank you!
ReplyDeleteShe loved the dress, and it was beautiful. Im sad it doesnt fit her any more. but it will stay in her memory box till she has her own little girl. :D
